UNESCO Historic Heritage Villages of Korea: Hahoe and Yangdong

Good afternoon everyone! These days COVID-19 is getting serious again in Korea.  Hope COVID-19 ends up soon 😔

Anyway I want to introduce nice place in Gyeongsang-bukdo province, Andong village and Hahoe village! These two village has been listed in UNESCO historic heritage in 2010 ! Many tourist visits Jeon-ju village , however, I highly reccomend Andong village! Which is more relaxing and traditional.

Hahoe is the village where the members of Ryu family which originated from Hahoe Village have lived together for 600 years. It is a representative village for one family where tile-roofed houses and thatched roofed ones have been quite well conserved for a long time.

When you visit Andong village we will have walking tour around Hanok village and learn about life of Josun dynasty people and also Confusion.

This is inside of Hanok, traditional Korea house. We usually didn't use bed because there is heating system on the floor. (Still lot of apartment use floor heating system ) So you will have chance to sleep on the floor ! But don't worry the owner of the house will offer you thick and cozy met.

Based by confusion culture when we drink with elder people ,we should show them respects. For example, you can see at the first picture. Usually younger people use two hands when the elder people gives drinks ! This is quite unique culture in Korea~

And also you will have chance to make Korea style noodle.

If you are planning to visit Korea don't miss Andong traditional village with professional tour guide. We are always ready to provide V.I.P services to all the client!
